NSF: Rivers Wrestling Coach Targets 10 Gold Medals

Coach of Rivers State Wrestling Association, Eli Oyonomunude has promised to win 10 gold medals at the forth coming 19 National Sports Festival (NSF) scheduled to hold December 6 to 16 this year, in Abuja.
Coach Oyonomunude, made the promise yesterday during an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
He said he was working towards winning ten (10) gold medals out of the 26 laurels at stake for wrestling at the forthcoming 19th NSF.
He said that Team Rivers will surpass the number of medals won at the ‘Eko 2012’’ National sports fiesta in wrestling come December, this year, when the competition gets underway.
“ As a coach, I am working towards surpassing my record at the past festival and I am optimistic that I will achieve my goal. I have prepared assiduously and now ready for the fiesta’’, Eli Oyonomunude said.
He said that Team Rivers is expecting to go camping anytime from now to further fortify their preparations for the task ahead, saying that the actual date is yet to be known.
It would be recalled that team Rivers wrestling won two gold, two silver and four bronze medals at the “Eko 2012’’ fiesta in Lagos State.
