Falz Unveils Code Of Conduct For Sweet Boys Association

The Sweet Boys Association of Nigeria which started off on a low key with Nigerian singer, Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz and other popular and not so popular bearded young men has now taken the social media by storm and it is fast becoming the most stylish Nigerian mantra as most young men claim to be members.
It gained momentum when Falz the ‘Bahd Guy’ who recently won his second award as an actor, released the anthem of the Association, created a website and unveiled the code of conduct for members as well as a video which featured top Nigerian media personalities like I.K Osadiowa, Big Brother Naija’s Tobi Bakare and Noble Igwe among others.
In the funny video posted on his instagram page, falz wrote: “Honourable members of the Association in Nigeria and beyond, our national anthem is on the way, I backon on you to brace your selves because this one will be dirty, secondly we are not selling forms, our Associations membership is free beware of 419.
Thirdly, and it is with a genuine regret utmost concern that I need to announce concerning individuals and the general public posting and representing the Association as if they are party to the Associaiton, they are using us to ducive and obtain favour from girls”.
Falz, son of popular human rights lawyer Femi Falana and self professed president of the trending sweet Boys Association (SBA) unveiled the association’s code of conduct as follows:
·You shall not be fraudulent or corrupt in your ways You must dress impeccably well at all times
·You must compose yourself with utmost confidence, certitude and assurance at all times.
·Your swag must remain a hundred not one less at any given time.
·You must be your brother’s or sister’s keeper
·You shall aspire to be the best in your field of study or practice
·You shall express yourself however you wish, so long as you do not obstruct another person’s ability to express himself or herself
·Wherever you find your self, you must always act within the confines of the law.
·You must never conduct your self in a manner that exposes the Association to disrepute
·You must treat all human beings with utmost respect
·Nobody is above or below another
·You shall not be fraudulent or corrupt in your ways
“If you wish to join the Association, you should feel free to do so through www.sweetboys association.com”, the president stated.
Meanwhile many twitter users have reacted to the formation of this Association. According to some of them “Sweet Boys Association is an association for guys who are good looking and trendy”, but some see the group as “just low budget gigolos and male slay queens who make their money off women as they manipulate the unsuspecting ladies”.
The women on twitter feel that so long as men have turned every label that women try to own into derogating word, case in point, slay queen and small girl, big God, as a result, they have decided to turn the tables and do some sweet boys association. Some even went as far as twitting the urban dictionary meaning of sweet boys and the definition is derogatory.
