Banigo Urges Youth To Strive For Excellence
The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has called on Rivers youth to strive for excellence and a passion to make a difference in the society.
Banigo stated this during a “Meet the Leader Session” with the deputy governor organised by Global Shapers Community, Port Harcourt, as part of activities to commemorate the 2018 United Nations International Youth Day at the Government House in Port Harcourt, last Friday.
Banigo expressed delight that the Global Shapers Community, Port Harcourt, whom she described as very talented youth have decided not to hide their talents but are using it for the betterment of the society.
The deputy governor, who described the State Chief Executive, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as a youth friendly governor said “when we see you like this we are happy and whatever we can do to encourage you to fulfil your God-given destinies will be done”.
She congratulated all the young people in the state for their creativity, innovation, their sheer number and strength as they celebrate the International Youth Day.
Earlier, the curator of the Port Harcourt Global Shapers, Mr. ThankGod Okirisha had informed the deputy governor that, the Global Shapers was the youth body of the World Economic Forum made up of young people within 20 and 30 years age bracket, from diverse professional backgrounds that were passionate about change, solving problems, and doing things that have direct impact on the society.
