Rivers United Skipper Sure To Play Continental

The captain of Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt, Austin Festus has reiterated that his club would pick one of the continental tickets this season.
According to him, his players have shown commitment and determined to reciprocate monies the government led by Chief Nyesom Wike is spending on the club.
Festus said this in a telephone interview with Tidesports, yesterday, saying that the team is not carried away by their current position on log.
“The team’s target is to ensure that it secured one of the continental tickets this season. That is why the players are committed and determined to achieve her goal.
We will make the governor happy. I will deliver at least a trophy to him, because he has not disappointed in all our needs” Festus said.
The United Skipper noted that the new and old players in the team are now blending well, saying that the issue of goal scoring will soon be a story of the past.
He further appeals to fans and supporters to believe in the club and continue with their support.
“The players have started to understand themselves in the field of player. But what we need now is adequate support from our fans and supporters by coming to match venues and cheer the team to victory,” he said.
