…PDP Chieftain Too
Ahead of the 2019 governorship election, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and Assistant Director, South East Zone of Wike Solidarity Movement (WSM), Hon Cyrus Israel Fubara, has called for massive support of Governor Nyesom Wike for a second tenure.
Fubara described the governor as a prudent management and development icon in leadership, saying, “Chief Wike has what it takes to govern the people of Rivers State next year and beyond”.
He stated that the governor really deserved Rivers State top job to help consolidate on the gains of his lofty developmental strides across the state.
Fubara, who made the commendation, Monday, in Opobo in an interview with The Tide expressed opimism that Wike, when re-elected, will execute more people-oriented projects and programmes that would galvenise the state and its people into greater heights.
He described Wike as an administrator par excellence who had all it took to manage the affairs and scarce resources of the state and produce satisfactory results.
Fubara, however, appealed to the governor to make himself available for the polls, so as to prove his worth in governance of the state while urging the eligible voters to ensure the re-election of Chief Wike next year for their betterment.
On PVC registration, he advised voters who were unable to register before now to go all out and do so to enable them participate in the 2019 election.
He advised eligible voters in the state to shun ‘money bag’ politicians and their ill-gotten wealth and solidly stand behind Wike at the polls.
On the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro Unity road project, Fubara lauded the Governor for giving the people of the catchment areas a sense of belonging by ensuring the smooth construction of the road that was abandoned by previous governments in the state.
Meanwhile, WSM has formally endorsed Wike for another four-year term in 2019 gubernatorial election, assuring him of its unflinching support and mobilisation.
