Chairmanship Aspirant Promises Inclusive Govt

A chairmanship aspirant in Asari Toru Local Government Area in the forthcoming LG election in Rivers State, Chief Odiari Princewill has pledged to run a government that will ensure every indigene of the area benefit from the dividend of democracy in line with the Governor Nyesom Wike’s New Rivers Vision Agenda, if voted into office.
Chief Princewill who stated this in an interview shortly after he was screened at Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Port Harcourt Wednesday, said: “I will ensure that everyone benefits from the government. We will empower both our women, men and youths as well as award scholarships to indigent students at all levels of education.”
He said, with proper planning, he would create a harmonious atmosphere and environment for business to thrive in the area through the establishment of small-scale industries, entrepreneurship and skill acquisition programmes and also put in place necessary infrastructure that would impact on the people.
He said he would give priority to agriculture, security, education and youth and women empowerment if given the mandate to serve, saying that as a person who had been tested and proven he knew where the shoe pinches the people of my LGA.
Princewill cautioned youths of the area against violence and any act capable of causing trouble during the June 16 LG elections.
Throwing his weight behind the establishment of the Neighbourhood Watch Corps, he said the outfit when operational would tremendously help in ensuring maximum security in the state and urged the Governor Wike-led administration not to be distracted by the antics of the oppositions but go ahead with the vision.
