Bizman Blames Ritual Killing On Ignorance
A Port Harcourt-based businessman, Mr Berthram Anyanwu has attributed the increase of ritual killings to lack of knowledge.
He stated this yesterday while speaking with The Tide in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to him, “people lack knowledge of the word of God, people don’t know God that is why they engage themselves in ritual killings.
He further stated that over-ambitiousness make people to engage in ritual killings and noted that when one is excessively ambitious and cannot achieve his or her aim, it forces one to engage in such activities such as ritual killings.
He further explained that political positions, business position etc also make people who are ignorant of the word of God to engage in ritual killings because they feel after sacrificing human beings as being requested by what they believe, they will attain their goals.
Mr Anyanwu further stated that the police were actually trying to fight against these activities in our society by making sure they prosecute anybody caught in the act. He also pleaded with the good people of the society to join hands with the police to fight against this act.
He further advised that wives, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers etc should always make sure they know the source of their people’s wealth and suggested that they should report to the police if they find out that the source of their people’s wealth was through ritual killings.
He also urged people to have the fear of God and hold on to God as it would reduce ritual killings in our society. He urged all to have true repentance by which the society would be a better place to live.
