Acheru Advises Journalists To Keep Records

The Media Manager of Go Round Football Club of Omoku in Rivers State, China Acheru has advised professionals, most especially sports journalists to keep accurate records.
He stated that keeping adequate records would make their job easy when writing previews of any given sport.
Acheru popularly known as Ikwerreman who was also the media officer of Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt, now Rivers United gave the advice while fielding questions from sports journalists, shortly after he received award given to him by League Bloggers for his 1000 games witnessed live, at Krisdera Stadium, Omoku.
According to him, he used the one week long activities to visit some selected schools in the state and gave pep talks, mostly the significant of record keeping.
“This is my personal celebration, but the importance celebrating is that I had kept my records since 1989; I had also witnessed many things in my travels in and out of Nigeria.
Majorly, I want to advice my colleagues most especially to keep records in whatever thing they are doing in life”, Acheru said.
The Ikwerrewman further revealed that later this year he would launch his book that contained his experiences in the 1000 games he has witnessed at different venues.
“My intention was to launch the book at the grand finale of the programme, but there was little hitches, I am optimistic that later this year the book will be made public” he stated.
The media manager also used the forum to urge journalists to form the habit of writing books.
“Why I decided to write my experiences into book form, it is because I want the upcoming sports journalists to share my experiences and learn from it, that is legacy”, he added.
