PDP Elders Endorse Anyanwu For Etche Chairmanship

Elders of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State have endorsed one of the sons of the State’s elder statesman, Prince Emma Anyanwu, Mr. Obinna Anyanwu for the leadership of the local government council.
Rising from a meeting held last week, the elders unanimously endorsed Obinna Elvis Anyanwu as their candidate for election as chairman of Etche local government area.
The elders, under the auspices of PDP Elders Forum, Etche local government area, arrived at the decision following critical evaluation of suitable candidates to fly the flag of the party in the forthcoming local government elections scheduled for June 16, 2018.
At the end of the crucial meeting, a motion was moved by Hon Jacob Nwala and seconded by Elder Silver Amadi wherein Obinna Elvis Anyanwu was endorsed as their candidate for the chairmanship seat without any objection.
The motion reads in part: “to call on Obinna Elvis Anyanwu to present himself for the election as chairman of Etche local government area.
“To endorse Obinna Elvis Anyanwu as their candidate for the election as chairman of Etche local government area.”
Elders present and who gave their consent include Sir Isaiah Choko (Chairman), Hon Jacob Nwala (Secretary), Elder Silver Amadi, Dr Godpower Nwogu, Elder Christian Nwankwo, Elder Solomon Nwobiri, Elder Musa Elekwachi, Rev N Anayanwu, among others.
It would be recalled that youth, women and political leaders under the auspices of Etche Liberation Movement recently called on Obinna Anyanwu to make himself available for the local government election.
They hinged their call on his managerial acumen, accessibility, progressive thinking and proven integrity in all his activities while insisting that he was the best man for the job
