Handball Coach Solicits RSG’s Assistance

The head coach of handball Academy of Port Harcourt, Ogundoro Olusanjo has appealed to the Rivers State government for the sponsorship of the under 12 handball competition coming up in Lagos State next month.
He stated that his players are ready for the competition, adding that the only way to showcase their talent is by participating in the tournaments.
Olusanjo said this in an exclusive interview with Tidesports yesterday at the Handball Court at the old Port Harcourt Township stadium during their training session.
He explained that he has not disappointed the state since he took over as a coach.
“We have not been to any competition and failed Olusanjo said.
He commended the State Commissioner for Sports Hon Boma Iyaye for effective representation, adding that the commissioner has given the academy some money to purchase item needed by the team.
He further said that, he is optimistic that his boys will not let the state down, saying that during the last year tournament in Kogi one of his players, Samuel Idamgu was voted the most valuable player (MVP) in the competition, adding that two of his players are now in the national camp.
