FAAN Warns Against Recruitment Of Fraudsters
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has warned the general public to be wary of any person or group of persons parading themselves as recruitment agents of the authority.
FAAN in a statement made available to aviation correspondents made available to aviation correspondents through the Head, Public Affairs, Mrs Herietta Yakubu, recently explained that these fraudsters go to the extent of extorting money from innocent citizens in the process.
The authority for the purpose of clarity and emphasis has stated that it is not embarking on any recruitment exercise at the moment.
Also, the statement urged the Public not to be deceived by the antics of these fraudsters, pointing out that recruitment into any government agency has a stipulated procedure, which includes advertisements in national dailies.
It said that such practice is in line with the provisions of the Federal Government’s Condition of Service, pointing out that any person claiming to be agents (s) of the authority in this respect is a fraudster and should be reported to the authority or the nearest police station.
FAAN, however, promised that it will continue to deliver on its core values especially on issues of safety, as well as in service and comfort.
Meanwhile, the airport authority has commended air travelers, airport users and the general public for their show of understanding while the rehabilitation work lasted at Akanu Ibian International Airport Enugu.
They have also emphasized on their continuous commitment to safety, security and comfort of Nigeria’s airport users.
