Cleric Tasks Christians On Giving
The General Secretary of the Ascension Apostolic Church Worldwide, Rev Sunday Ledee Mgboalu has urged Christians to embrace the culture of giving to attract God’s blessings.
The cleric gave the charge while officiating at the church development and building launching organiSed by the Diobu Assembly of the Ascension Apostolic Church in Port Harcourt, recently.
Speaking on the topic, “Encountering the God of Abundance”, the cleric said the safest way of investment was to sow in the Lord’s vineyard, where bandits and burglars cannot invade.
He commended the Diobu Assembly for their steadfastness and vision, and encouraged them to contribute towards the building of a befitting house of worship for the Lord.
In his welcome address, the host Pastor of the Diobu Assembly of the church, Pastor Didi Nyaghanee said, “Giving is part of the kingdom service to God and humanity”, and urged the members to donate generously to achieve the set objective of acquiring a permanent site and building a befitting house of worship for God.
In his remarks, the presiding Elder of the church, Elder Sunny Nyorbana, commended the general council of the Ascension Apostolic Church for their contributions towards the development of the Diobu Assembly.
He assured the commitment of the Diobu Assembly towards the development of the church and the achievement of the divine objectives of the church in general.
Also speaking, Chairman, Planning Committee of the N15million Land Acquisition and Church Development Fund, Bro Samuel Lewunga expressed gratitude to God for making the event a success.
He said the fund realized from the launching would be judiciously administered for the intended purpose.
