Bizman Arraigned For Theft

A 23-year-old businessman,  Thomas Iyaji , was last Monday arraigned in a Wuse Zone 2 Magistrates’ Court,  Abuja, for allegedly being in company of  a suspected  thief.
The defendant of Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, is facing a count charge of belonging to a gang of thieves.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Mr Kufreabasi Ebong, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on November 6, 2017, at about. 10 p.m.
Ebong said that the defendant was found in the company of one Emeka Nnate, a suspected member of a gang of thieves.
He said the offence contravened Section 306 of the Penal Code.
The Magistrate, Mr Muhammed Abdulmumini, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50, 000, with one surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case until April 11 for hearing.
