Two In Court Over N.4m

Two men, Ede Jonathan, 29, and Shittu Ganiyu, 33, who allegedly defrauded their employer of N402,000 were last Monday arraigned in an Ota Senior Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State.
The defendants of no fixed addresses, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Chudu Gbesi told the court that the defendants and others still at large, committed the offences on September 20, 2017 at Webo Ascending Ventures, Ota.
Gbesi said that the defendants  defrauded the company of the sum of N402,000.
He said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Vol. 1, Laws of Ogun State, 2006.
The defendants pleaded not guilty, while
Senior Magistrate, Mr S. O. Banwo, granted them bail in the sum of N800,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum.
The case was adjourned until March 20 for hearing.
