Away Victory Excites Rivers United’s Midfielder
Rivers United attacking midfielder, Emeka Ogbugh is excited to see his side secure away victory over Kwara United.
It was the match day 10 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), which saw Rivers United defeat the host by a lone goal at the Kwara Township Stadium.
“I am delighted with the away victory last Sunday, it was a tough game, we approached the match seriously to get the three points, we are happy to get the goal”, he said.
Ogbugh told the Tidesports in a telephone interview on Monday, that the away victory has motivated the team, saying the spirit in the camp now is high, that all the players are happy about the away win.
He noted that, it was the first away victory of the season, saying that, it has started and it will continue.
He commended the technical crew, the fans and supporters of the team and also his teammates for their understanding and togetherness during the match.
“This is good for us and we would see how we can build on this to continue to perform well in our home and away games,” he stated.
According to him. United will play in the continent come next season. The result takes the pride of the state to fourth on the table with 16 points from 10 matches.
