RSG To Partner FRSC On Traffic Flow In PH
The Rivers State Government has pledged to work with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to ensure free flow of traffic across the state.
Chairman, Rivers State Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Agency, Surveyor Sam Agwor said this during a courtesy call on him by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Port Harcourt.
Agwor stated that the collaboration was based on the need to ensure free flow of traffic during road rehabilitation at working hours.
He said that it was the expectation of the agency that the commission should use its instrumentality as a Federal Government agency to direct traffic flow during road rehabilitation.
The chairman also commended the FRSC for pledging to work with the government to achieve the zero potholes agenda on Port Harcourt roads, adding that this would enable road users to reap huge economic and social benefits in the state.
According to him, the agency will continue to do its best to ensure that all roads within Port Harcourt and its environs are free from potholes, adding that the agency is also maintaining the drainages to ensure free flow of water from the rehabilitated road surfaces.
Earlier, the Assistant Corps Marshall, Federal Road Safety Corps, Kingsley Agomoh had commended the agency for the good job it is doing adding that the FRSC is ready to collaborate with the agency to ensure free flow of traffic on Port Harcourt roads.
