The former member representing Rivers East Senatorial District in the National Assembly,  Senator George Thompson Sekibo and former Transport Minister,  Dr Abiye Sekibo have reassured the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike of the continued support of the Okrika and Ogu/Bolo local government areas.
The duo who gave the assurance when stakeholders of the two local government areas were hosted by the governor last Saturday, noted that the people of Wakrike will continue to support his administration despite the appeal court judgement which they described as electoral manipulation.
Senator Sekibo said the Appeal Court Judgement will not deter the people of Wakrike from supporting his administration, noting that the state government will continue to enjoy the same support it  has been enjoying from the people.
The former National Assembly member commended the people for the level of support to the government, urging them to remain resolute at all times, especially as the present administration was working hard to give all ethnic groups and local government areas the same consideration in governance.
He commended Governor Wike for the support given to him throughout the legal battle and promised never to let him down.
Sekibo said the outcome of the Appeal Court should not weaken them but should spur them to increase their level of support for Wike.
On his part, Dr Abiye Sekibo commended the Governor for his work in Okrika and the entire Rivers State, assuring that the people of Wakrike will not stop supporting him.
