Rivers Judges Begin 2017 Vacation
Judges in the Rivers State Judiciary have commenced the 2017 annual vacation, otherwise called the annual leave.
A press statement from the Office of the Chief Registrar indicated that the vacation took effect, yesterday, and would end on Monday, September 18, 2017.
According to the statement, the vacation was in accordance with the provisions of Order 45 Rule 4 (d) of the High Court of Rivers State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2010.
The statement, however, said that during the period, vacation judges will be appointed to sit on those urgent matters that cannot wait until the resumption of courts on the 19th of September, 2017.
The statement, therefore, urged litigants, lawyers and the public to take notice of the vacation.
