NVF President Lauds Falcons’ Qualification

The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, last Monday congratulated the Falcons volleyball team for qualifying for the Nations Cup championship slated for Cameroon in October .
Tidesports source gathered that  the female team last Sunday defeated Cote D’Ivoire 3-0 in the just concluded World Women Cup Volleyball qualifiers in Abidjan.
The qalifiers started on Aug. 17 to Aug. 20.
Nimrod told newsmen Nigeria  in Abuja that the qualification was due to hard work and commitment from all stakeholders.
“I want to describe the team as worthy ambassadors of our great country, Nigeria. I pray and hope that they will continue to make us proud even at the Nations Cup in October,” he said.
Earlier, Usman Abdalah, coach of the team, lauded the players for their display of gallantry, dedication and patriotism.
Abdalah hailed the federation for its support during the tournament and promised to do the nation proud at the continental competition.
