Lawmaker Tasks Youth On Insecurity

The lawmaker representing Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Constituency 1, Hon Christian Ahiakwo has emphasised the need for the youth to play a leading role in tackling insecurity in the state.
Ahiakwo stated this while addressing over 200 youths, who decided to partner with the security agencies to tackle insecurity in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area and it’s environs, at Omoku, the headquarters of the area.
He noted that  the youth have positive role to play in complementing government effort in the overall interest of the people of the area.
“The youth are very important in any given society, they play major role to execute any law made by the authority of any society. They also decide the development of any society.
“Therefore the youth need to be empowered to carry out tasks that would bring peace in the society”, Ahiakwo said.
He commended the youth selected for the tasks by the Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairman, Barr. Olisa Olisa.
The lawmaker urged them to take their assignment serious to bring peace and business friendly environment to the area.
Ahiakwo, who noted that no meaningful development can strive in an insecured environment, further urged the youth to avoid using the opportunity to perpetrate   more crimes in the area, saying that anyone caught would face the wrath of the law.
He listed the achievements of the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike in the area and appealed to people of the area to embrace his new vision and allow peace to reign.
Ahiakwo assured that Wike’s  developmental blue print as enshrined in the New Rivers Vision agenda would continue to place emphasis  on wealth creation and job opportunities.
