Cycling: Association, Club Plan Camping In PH
The Rivers State Cycling Association (RSCA), in conjunction with the Life Style Cycling Club of Port Harcourt, has concluded arrangements to host one week camping programme tagged, National Junior and kids programme from Tomorrow 7 August to 13 August, 2017 in Port Harcourt.
Chief host of the programme, Coach Naiebaka Aggo disclosed this Sunday in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the aim of the programme is to “Catch Them Young”. The camping is geared towards the discovering and grooming of young talents for future engagements.
Coach Aggo who is also the National Cycling Coach said that the programme is being endorsed by the Nigeria Cycling Federation (NCF) and the sustainable Cycling Foundation of Nigeria (SCF).
The body is now set to build champions for the future, athletes who can represent the country in Africa and World Championships.
“We are building champions for the future to win medals for us at the forthcoming Olympic and World Championships. This is part of our preparation for the task ahead.
The competition is open for all, but considering the economy situation in the country it might just end with those in neighbouring states”, Coach Aggo said.
