B’Ball Coach Sure Of Team’s Qualification For NYSC

Coach of the Rivers State Basketball Team, Dagogo Okumgba, has expressed  optimism  that his team will qualify at the on-going  Zonal  elimination of teams for  the 2017 National Youths Sports Festival scheduled to hold in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Okumgba  said this yesterday  in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the team has what it takes to qualify for the (NYSF) competition, saying that, the players are in high spirit and are determined to qualify  at the Zonal  elimination.
“We have the quality of players that can  yield good result both at elimination  event and the competition proper”, Okumgba said.
Meanwhile, the competition kicked -off Wednesday in Ilorin with about six states, Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom, Delta, Edo, Cross River and Rivers State in their zone.
While, the competition proper is scheduled for  September 13-18, this year. Coach Okumgba, advised the athletes to be focused and disciplined in ordeer to  achieve  their target  both at zonal  qualifier and the fiesta.
