Plateau United Signs Okoro, Odafe
Plateau United have confirmed the signing of ex-junior international, Stanley Okoro, Myep Bulus-Ghai, Emmanuel Odafe, Daddy Morris, Clinton Peter and Damian Longmiap as they intensify efforts to maintain their top spot on the league table when the second round begins on May 21.
The Media Officer of the Peace Boys, Albert Dakup in a chat revealed that the new players have been confirmed by the League Management Company and have been training with the rest of the squad for close to two weeks now.
“The management decided to engage the services of the new players after consulting with the technical crew who gave us the list of the players they wanted,’’ Dakup told newsmen.
‘’With these new players the technical crew will be able to correct some of the lapses noticed during the first round with a view to sustaining the objective of the club which is to pick a continental ticket at the end of the season.’’
The Jos side were beaten 1-0 by Enugu Rangers last Wednesday in a rescheduled league tie but are still occupying the top spot on the table with 35 points from 19 games. They will begin the second round on May 21 with a road tie against Katsina United.
