The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Forum of Lawmakers in Okrika-Ogu/Bolo Federal Constituency, expressed optimism that the  Appeal Court would reverse the tribunal judgement that nullified the victory of Senator George Sekibo in the December 10, 2016 rerun election in Rivers East Senatorial District of the state.
The spokesman of the Lawmakers, Hon Evans Bipi, gave the assurance over the weekend in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the tribunal judgement lacked merit assuring that the appellate court would identify the lapses and reverse the judgement in favour of the senator who won the election.
Bipi, the lawmaker representing Ogu/Bolo Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, expressed the support  of  the PDP lawmakers in the Okrika-Ogu/Bolo axis to the Senator, saying that it would amount to lack of credibility if the court fails to rely on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who is the right body to produce the necessary documents used in the conduct of the election.
Bipi accused the tribunal of foul play for failure to rely on INEC’s evidence.
He called on the people of the senatorial district to remain calm, assuring that the mandate given to Senator Sekibo by the electorate would be justified by the Appeal Court,
