Group Wants Technocrats In Wike’s New Cabinet

Some eminent personalities under the aegis of the “Voice” a socio-political group, has urged for the inclusion of more technocrats in the reconstituted state executive council.
The group, which said this at the end of its meeting in Port Harcourt, also passed a vote of confidence on the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike.
It also commended the Governor for ensuring that  every part of the state is carried along in the execution of developmental  projects.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the National Co-ordinator of the group, Chief Ken Chuku, said that the organisation is satisfied with the achievements of the governor in the area of infrastructural development within the last two years in office, saying that the situation has placed the state on a fast lane of development.
Chuku,  however, stressed the need for emphasis on human capital development, stressing that efforts must be made to ensure that Rivers people are economically empowered.
He also commended the governor for the construction of the Port Harcourt Pleasure Park, describing it as a boost to the entertainment industry in the state.
Also speaking , the Public Relations Officer of the group, Prince William Chinwo, stressed the need for incoming members of the state executive council  to work together as a team to deliver dividends of democracy.
Chinwo said that apart from endorsing the governor for a second term, the group is also prepared to mobilize its members across the local government areas to vote for the governor.
