Five Nigerian Artistes Battle For AFRIMA Awards
This year, all of Africa’s biggest artistes are expected to gather at the prestigious House of Blues Venue in Dallas, Texas in United States of America for the most inclusive African awards ceremony, the African Muzik Magazine awards popularly known as AFRIMA, which is returning for its 4th edition on the 8th of October and artistes who have had a great year are expected to attend the event to get honoured for their remarkable efforts and achievements.
Flavuor, Wizkid, Davido, Tekno and Mr Eazi are vying for Artiste of the Year Award alongside Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz, Fally Ipupa from Congo, South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest and Angolan musician, C4 Pedro.
Other categories where Nigerian artistes have been nominated include Best Male West Africa, (Wizkid, Falz, Eazi, Davido, Tekno), Best Female West Africa: (Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Simi), Best African Group (Bracket), Crossing Boundaries With Music Award: (Wizkid, Ayo Jay, Wale, Jidenna, Maleek Berry).
Best Gospel, (Frank Edwards, Uche Agu, Nathaniel Bassey), Best New Comer: Dremo, Maleek Berry, Niniola); Dance Hall Act of the Year: (Timaya, Burna Boy, Patoranking) Best Video Director: (Daps, Sesan Patrick Elis, Avalon Okpe).
Other categories are Best DJ Africa: (DJ Spinall, DJ Ex clusive) Best African DJ USA: (DJ Tunez, DJ Freeshyk, Deemony), Afrima Video of the Year: (Dando: If, Run town: Mad Over You:, Wizkid: Come Closer”).
