‘FAAN Has Created Conducive Business Environment At Major Airports’

The Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr. Saleh Dunoma, has said that the agency has created condusive and attractive business environment in most major airports in the country that would attract investors to do business at the airport.
He also said that the planned concession of some of the airports would boost the revenue generation of the agency as FAAN has in offer an array of irresistible incentives to investors.
A statement from the Corporate Affairs Unit of FAAN has stated that the agency under Dunoma’s leadership, is investing heavily in the renewal and expansion of infrastructure at airports with five standard buildings nearing completion at Lagos, Abuja Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu airport.
“Our aim is to create capacity and promote excellent investment environment, with tourism growing in direct proportion to the Nigerian economy, international best practice regulatory policies in place and world-class service delivery at our airports.
“We are posied for a significant growth in passenger traffic and therefore, confident that investors, both local and foreign, would realise prompt and significant returns on their investment in aviation business”, the statement quoted.
The Managing Director of FAAN in the statement also pointed out that the agency has delineated some airports in the country as cargo airports to focus on delivering perishable agro-products in good time to the international market.
Accordingly, this will position the aviation sector to contribute maximally to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) while playing the crucial role as an enabler.
