Community Demands Release Of Kidnap Victim
The Ihuaba community in Ahoada East Local Government Area in Rivers State, has appealed to the abductors of Chief Abbot Ogbobula to release him unhurt and unconditionally.
Paramount ruler, Eze Friday Elems, who made the appeal on behalf of the Ekpeye Council of Chiefs, elders and people of the community, while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt, recently, said Chief Ogbobula was kidnapped two weeks ago in front of his house in the community.
According to him, Chief Ogbobula was one of the chiefs that brought development to Ekpeye Kingdom and Ihuaba community when he was the paramount ruler of the community.
“On behalf of the Ekpeye council chiefs, elders and people of Ihuaba community, I appeal to the abductors of Chief Abbot Ogbobula to release him unhurt and unconditionally. He is a philanthropist who does not deserve to be treated in this manner”, Eze Elems said.
He further appealed to the state command of Nigerian Police and other security agencies to double their efforts in securing the release of the Chief Ogbobula from his abductors and bring the perpetrators to book.
