The interim Chairman of the Advanced Peoples Democratic  Alliance (APDA), Pastor Warigbani Ezekiel, has said that the party is committed to societal transformation.
Ezekiel, who said this, while playing host to some journalists in Port Harcourt, also commended the media for playing a vital role in  electoral democracy, first as the mirror of society and second as the watchdog of the society.
“APDA as a party that is committed to societal transformation, cannot therefore neglect the media”,  he vowed.
He said that as the leading opposition party in the country, the party is ready to work with the media to ensure societal transformation.
Ezekiel  said that the  party is open to all shades of opinion and is ready to admit people with proven record of integrity, while offices within the grassroots would be reactivated with a view to preparing it to take over power in 2019.
He denied being sponsored by one of the leading political parties in the country and charged the  media to be proactive in discharging its function as the watchdog of the society.
The APDA  chief used the occasion to thank Governor Wike for taking over the rehabilitation of the  Akpajo/Eleme section of the East/West road, describing the Governor’s decision as a laudable one as the road serves both indigenes and people from neigbouring  states.
