‘Amaechi’s Administration, Wasteful’

Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Food Security, Sir Emmanuel Ekpirikpo, has described the immediate past administration of Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as a waste.
Ekpirikpo, who said this in an interview with The Tide in his office in Port Harcourt, said that the Amaechi  administration embarked on projects that were not sustainable.
The Special Adviser also said that Amaechi’s refusal to properly hand over to Rivers State governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has made it difficult for the present administration to know the level of investment in all facets of development, including the agricultural sector.
He said that the present administration is creating a conducive environment for the development of agriculture and other sectors of the state economy.
Meanwhile, Sir Ekpirikpo has assured the people of Andoni local government of the commitment by Governor Wike to develop the area.
The Special Adviser, who gave the assurance in an interview with The Tide in his office in Port Harcourt, said that the present administration has not neglected the local government area.
He said that Andoni local government area has benefited from the present administration in the area of appointments, stressing that for the first time since the creation of Rivers State, Andoni local government  has a speaker and three special advisers.
Ekpirikpo said that, the area can for the first time also boast of two first class  traditional rules, while development projects such as the Andoni/Opobo Unity road and Ngo General Hospital are on-going.
The Special Adviser also said that the completion of the Saakpenwa/Bori road would benefit the people of Andoni.
He stressed the need for the people to remain patient as the governor would not neglect the area.
