Refund Cost Of Executed Federal Projects In Rivers -Tam-George

The Rivers State Commissioner  for Information and Communications, Dr. Austin Tam-George, has called on the Federal Government to refund the money spent by the Rivers State Government in the execution of federal projects in the state.
The commissioner made the call while addressing newsmen shortly after the commissioning and formal handover of the new Federal High Court Complex built by the Rivers state Government.
Tam-George commended Governor Nyesom Wike for taking over the major responsibilities of the Federal Government in the state, adding that the gesture was to extend the frontiers of development in the state.
He said the Rivers State Government had earlier completed and commissioned the ultra modern law centre building and also commenced the building of an Industrial Court in the state, noting that these projects are major milestones in the administration of justice in the state.
According to the commissioner, the only measure of gratitude expected of the Federal Government over the state’s intervention in the execution of federal projects is the evaluation and refund of the costs of the projects.
On the use of the new Federal High Court Complex, the commissioner urged the beneficiaries of the project to use it judiciously for the administration of justice, and called for proper maintenance of the structure.
“It is easier to build than to maintain a structure, these projects can only stand the test of time, when they are properly maintained,” Tam-George added.
The commissioner also assured the commitment of the Rivers State Government to develop all critical sectors of the Rivers economy and called on the people of Rivers State to throw their unflinching support behind the governor to enable him succeed.
