Rangers, Coal City Youth For FA Cup Final
Rangers International FC of Enugu will on Sunday trade tackles with Coal City Youths in the final of the Enugu State Federation Cup to determine the 2017 winners.
Rangers reached the final of the FA Cup at the expense of FC Stars Plus with a hard fought 3-1 defeat on April 27, while Coal City Youths beat FC Inter 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw on April 21.
Enugu State FA Secretary, Francis Ugwu disclosed the date for the encounter to Tidesports source at Enugu yesterday.
He said the match between Rangers and Coal City Youths would start at 4 p.m., while the third place match between FC Star Plus and FC Inter would precede the final at 1.30 p.m. on the same day.
The secretary noted that Rangers and Coal City Youths had qualified to represent the state at the national level.
He also called on the proprietors and the coaches of the four clubs to attend the pre-match meeting which would start at 10 a.m. on the same day.
Tidesports source reports that Rangers are the 2016 Nigeria professional Football League (NPFL) defending champions, while Coal City Youths are the 2016 State League defending champions.
The flying antelopes have recorded 18 goals on their road to the final and conceded a goal.
