Princewill Set For New Movie On Boko Haram …As ‘76 Smashes DSTV Box Office Records

Following on from the success of the 2016 blockbuster 76, the team of Adonis Production has visited the state of affairs in the North East and bring the story of the people to the world. In partnership with the Nigerian Army, Silverbird Productions and Princewill’s Trust, this daring project is set to raise the bar yet again with a story of love vs hate and what it means to be a Nigerian.
This was made known by Princewill to newsmen on his arrival at the Maiduguri airport. The team which included the CEO, Adonijah Owiriwa and the Director, Izu Ojukwu also had them as guests at a cocktail hosted by the Chief of Army staff where the heads of all divisions and  top military personnels  were able to sit and screen 76 to very critical acclaim. In the words of Maj Gen Buratai, this was a “proper reflection of life in the barracks way back then and a good example of why soldiers need to remain soldiers, steadfast and loyal to the cause.”
At a breakfast strategy meeting for the new film, with the Chief of Training and Operations, Gen. D .D. Ahmadu, the Theater Commander, Gen Leo Irabor and the Chief of Civil Military affairs, Maj Gen Angbazzo, modalities to ensure Nigerians and the world  get an honest and true picture of events was put in place. Principal photography is expected to begin later in the year.
In a related development, 76 has just smashed Box Office records as the all time highest earning Nollywood movie on DSTv box office ever and does now appear to prove that Nollywood is well and truly reconfirming its place on the continent. This feat comes despite limiting its showing from the lucrative SA market. Unconfirmed reports have it that  as the highest ever. But the team remain tight lipped
A big congratulations to Team of 76, Nollywood and Dstv box office. Next stop is the Africa Magic’s Showcase premium channel. 76 will be showing on Sunday the 28th of May at 7pm, Nigerian time. This brings to an end, the active promotion of 76 by team Adonis which still has not sold all its rights but has already hit the two million dollar revenue mark in Africa alone without factoring in international sales.
Other titles in their stable are about to hit the market for SVOD, VOD and Pay TV rights amongst others. They include Nnenda (2008), directed by Izu Ojukwu and starring Stephanie Okereke, Ramsey Nouah, Francis Duru and Van Vicker; Kajola (2010), directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and starring Desmond Elliot, Keira Hewatch and the new, much talked about and yet to be released Valour with a stellar cast also directed by Niyi Akinmolayan.
