An industrialist, mr godwin ezeemo, has called on Nigerians to continue to patronise made in Nigeria products to revive and grow the nation’s economy.
Ezeemo, made the call last Thursday in an interview with journalists in Umuchu Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He said that the appeal became necessary due to the current economic downturn resulting to recession, hunger and inflation in the country.
“If the wave of hardship being experienced now is not cushioned through the right policies, people might become restive and that could affect sustained peace in the society,” he said.
Ezeemo said that there was the urgent need for people to patronise made in Nigeria products to boost the Nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and help the local industries to grow, thereby creating more employment opportunities.
He said that if locally produced products were always patronised, it would be highly beneficial to the people of the South East, adding that “Ndigbo are the highest manufacturers in the country.’’
He said that there was a compelling need for people to start patronising made in Nigeria products as no nation could grow economically when 95 per cent it consumables were imported.
