Firm Trains Farmers On Fish Production

Aller Aqua Nigeria Ltd, a fish feed company, has in Ibadan, conducted free training for fish farmers on tilapia fish production and aquaculture, The Tide source reports.
According to the source, the free training was based on better farm management practices of fish farming, among others.
At the sideline of the event, the Company’s Regional Sales Manager, Mr Dada Foluso, said that the farmers were taught on profitability and cage culture system in fish farming.
Foluso said that the company, based in Denmark, aimed to teach the farmers how to grow their output, so that they could produce more fish for the country and export.
“When the farmers have good harvest through better knowledge, the miller will have good business.
“We have two major categories of fish products: hatchery pack and Aller Claria float with different protein contents.
“Our feeds are formulated for the highest efficiency and nutrient digestibility for low nutrient discharge to water,” he said.
He noted that the product’s benefits include: improved feed conversion and ration, higher yield in shorter time, healthy fish of good quality, good return on investment among others.
“We have done the training in South South, South East and this is the third one in the South West; we shall also move on to the North.
“The company has been producing fish feed for the past 50 years.
“Every day you use our feeds, you benefit from our research in new raw materials and feed types; our research is carried out in Germany where we develop tomorrow’s fish feed.
“We also work closely with other research centres on latest knowledge, our heart desire is to give farmers the best,” he said.
