FG Confirms Dunoma As FAAN’s MD

The Federal Government has confirmed Engineer Saleh Dunoma as the Managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
A statement from the Corporate Affairs of FAAN, made available to The Tide confirmed that the appointment of Dunoma was ratified by the Presidency in a statement released on Thursday, April 20th, 2017.
Dunoma is a recipient of the prestigious National Productivity Order of Merit Award (NPOM), and has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the aviation sector both in Nigeria and overseas.
Before his appointment as the Chief Executive of FAAN, he was the Director in charge of projects in the authority.
His wealth of experience was very instrumental to the success of the Airport Remodelling Project of the Federal Government under which the 22 airports being managed by FAAN were remodelled to meet international best practices and standards.
He is currently the African Regional President of Airport Council International (ACI), a global body that defends the interest of airports and foster cooperation and exchange of ideas amongst  its members.
Dunoma is the first Nigerian to be elected to occupy the office, and is an astute administrator, as well as aluminus of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Certified Civil Engineer.
He has also served the authority in various sensitive capacities, including Acting Airport Manager for both Kaduna Airport and Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.
In 2000, he became substantive Airport Manager of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Arport, Abuja, among other positions.
