Faruka, Atenda Elected Officials To NHF Board

Yohanna Faruk and Fatai Atanda have been elected the representatives of athletes and the technical officialslast nothing on the board of the Nigeria Hockey Federation (NHF).
Tidesports source gathered  that they were returned unopposed at the Sports Federations elections held at the National Stadium, Abuja, at the weekend.
Faruk, Niger Flickers midfielder and Atanda were both unanimous candidates of their respective bodies to the board.
After the elections, Rita Akande, the federation’s Secretary-General, described the elections as peaceful and successful, adding: “I return all the thanks to God.
“This is the most peaceful election so far and I am very happy about it,’’ she said.
Faruk promised to do what he had been doing to promote the welfare of athletes and better the sport.
