The Rivers Elders Consultative Council has hailed Governor Nyesom  Wike on the new chieftaincy title of Oro-Ata 1 of Andoni Kingdom.
The Oro-Ata 1 was conferred on the Governor by His Royal Majesty, King Job Williams Ojuruket Nnabiget XIV, Okan-Ama Ngo of Ngo land recently.
A press statement signed by  the Executive Secretary  of the group, Chief  Granville Abiye Georgewill,  on behalf of  the Rivers  Elders Council,  described  the award and title as well- deserved, given the  monumental achievements of Governor  Wike in his first two years in office.
The Rivers Elders Council in the statement also observed that the title of Oro-Ata, which is translated as ‘a person who does good to mankind’, came at the right time when the entire Rivers people are in jubilation, in recognition of Governor Wike’s contributions to the development of the state.
The council  further commended  the monarch and good people of Andoni  for recognising the good works  of the Governor, describing Wike as a gift from God to the people of Rivers State.
The  council also called on Rivers people, especially political office holders to take advantage of Governor Wike’s style of inclusive administration to work together, and support the Governor for the peace, unity and progress of the state.
