…As Group Urges Massive Participation Of Ikwerre People 

A socio-cultural organisation,the Ogbakor Ikwerre Organization has called on the four Ikwerre speaking area local government  to mobilise indgenes and residents who have attained the age of 18 years to participate and register in the ongoing voters registration.
The President of the group, Professor Simeon Chituru Achinewhu  made the call last Saturday when the executive of the National Union of Ikwerre Students led by Comrade Chike Chinwedu visited him to rejoice with him over his honour as Professor Emiretus.
Achinewhu enjoined the students to mobilise people to participate in the exercise, urging traditional rulers to use town criers and other methods of dissemination to reach out to people to participate.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  for being proactive and urged the people and political parties to utilise the opportunity to partner with the commission for  free, fair and credible elections in the future.
According to him, ‘’INEC cannot do it alone, we must join hands to make a better country’’.
