Hold Me Responsible If MFM Fails – Ilechukwu
The gaffer will shoulder the blame if the Olukoya Boys fall apart in the second half of the campaign as they look to compete with African elite next season
Fidelis Ilechukwu has made a bold statement that he should be held responsible should MFM fail to clinch a continental ticket this season.
The Olukoya Boys failed to maintain their outstanding first round performance in the 2015/16 season and only beat the drop on the last day of the campaign.
However, MFM currently occupy the second spot in the Nigeria Professional Football League and the manager insist they do not want a repeat of last season.
“Hold me responsible if MFM don’t make the continent,” Ilechukwu told newmen.
“The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries , Dr. Olukoya has been a tremendous support to every one at MFM and it’s proper to make this motivation we enjoy count.
“We have taken the start of the second half of the 2016/17 season like we are just starting a new season.”
“We don’t want the event of last season repeat itself this season so we are focus on picking a continental ticket.
“I am repeating it again that I should be held responsible if MFM don’t make the continent,” he concluded.
