Ven Briggs commended the speaker for ensuring that there is unity among the  lawmakers, irrespective of their parties platforms and used the opportunity to solicit for the  intervesition of the House and security agencies in the state of criminals in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt.
Ven Briggs appealed to  House  to find  alternative means of controlling the increasing rate of mentally deranged persons and beggars roaming  the streets of Port Harcourt.
In his response, the speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Iunyi-Owaji Ibani expressed the need to liaise with security agencies to  rid the area of criminality.
The speaker promises that the House would revisit the state social rehabilitation law to check the increasing rate of beggars, mad persons and persons living with disability on the streets of Port Harcourt.
