Mali Junior International, Sory Ibrahim Traore has rated the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) high compared to the Malian topflight.
The goalkeeper, penned a three-year deal with 2016 Federation Cup champions, FC Ifeanyi Ubah before the start of the 2016/17 NPFL season and he’s hopeful of making a positive impact.
Having played for Malian U17, U20 and the senior national team at the African Nations Championship (CHAN), Traore noted that the NPFL is very competitive.
“The Nigerian league is very competitive and the pace is very high compared to Mali”, Traore said.
“It’s consistent post to post challenge in the NPFL. The goalkeeper is always mobile, the pitches are much better compared to Mali. The turnout of the fans is fantastic and the media have added more colour to the league too.
“The NPFL has afforded me a very good challenge and I believe that I am up to the task”.
