Rivers United Shares Points With Lobi Stars
Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt, yesterday, at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, in Port Harcourt shared points with visiting Lobi Stars of Makurdi, as they forced the home team to a goalless draw.
It was one of the week five games in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, that was played at different venues across the nation.
The encounter which was graced by a huge number of expectators saw the home team miss several goal opportunities, as both sides displayed quality football.
Speaking shortly after the game, the technical adviser of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma said his side was just unlucky, saying that his players missed a lot of scoring chances in the second phase of the game.
“Is a game of football, you cannot get it right at all times, no two games are the same, you can see in the second half my players missed so many chances. If they had converted one, we would have won,” Eguma said.
