Rivers Police Begin Investigation On INEC Documents

lice command says full investigation has commenced into the alleged printing of fake result sheets of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Port Harcourt.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this while speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt, last Monday on the arrest of the alleged suspects.
DSP Omoni confirmed that some arrest have been made and that the suspects are currently undergoing interrogations at the state CID section of the command.
The police spokesperson assured the people of the state that the police would make known its findings as soon as the investigation was concluded.
He urged the people to remain calm and go about their normal businesses, adding that the police were on top of the situation.
It would be recalled that the police in the state acting on a tip off, Saturday raided a printing press located at No 12, Isiokpo Street, D-Line, Port Harcourt and discovered that the press was allegedly printing fake result sheets for seven local government areas of the Rivers South –East Senatorial District.
Four persons were allegedly arrested in the raid. They were Richard Koko, Atonye Peterside, Nanne Godday and Tammy Garrick.
