Over 2000 children spread across 20 schools in Port Harcourt, Obio/Akpor Eleme and Tai Local Government Areas have been presented with exercise books, comic books and biros by the management of the De-United Food Industry, maker of Indomie Instant noodles.
The affected children were also fed with cooked indomie. Area Marketing Manager of De-United Food Industry Limited, Mr Kunle Osinoiki, who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt, recently said that the gesture was part of the annual school sampling exercise of the company.
Mr Osinoiki said that the annual school sampling exercises was part of the corporate policy of the company to reach out to children across the state, adding that major local government areas across the state have been covered in the exercise.
He also said that the exercise aims at improving both the educational and nutritional redeployment of school children as indomie contians both Vitamin A, B calium and protein. Mr Osioiki promised that the programme will be extended to all schools across the 23 Local Government Areas. Meanwhile the company has flagged off its “you like no other promo” in the state.
The Area Maketing Manager told Jornalists that the promo is to celebrate the uniqueness of every individual especially its consumers.
