Rivers Media Officer, Angels FC of Port Harcourt, Jessica Amadi yesterday in Abuja said the club was ready to claim its seventh title in the ongoing 2016 Women Federation Cup.
Tidesports gathered that Rivers Angels will meet Bayelsa Queens in the final match scheduled for Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Sunday.
Amadi told newsmen that the club’s target was to win the trophy for the seventh time.
“Since the beginning of the season, we have been working hard to reach this stage.
“We give all the glory to God because last season we were kicked out by the Confluence Queens of Lokoja in the quarter-finals.
“All the department of the team have been reinforced for the encounter, the strikers, attackers, defenders and the goalkeepers are all ready for the great day.
“The management has been giving them the necessary support in all aspects, morally, emotionally, physically and, especially financially,’’ she said.
“The Rivers Government has also promised to host and give them a surprise package which is not disclosed to any of us if we win.
“The final match between us and Bayelsa Queens on Sunday will be a game of supremacy.
“We have won the trophy for sixth time; we are set to win it for the seventh time,’’ Amadi said.
