The House of Representatives candidate for Khana/Gokana, Federal Constituency on the platform of Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Hon. Dum Deekor has said that no amount of plots by the oppositions in the state would stopped him to be elected as a member of the national Assembly, if the December 10, rerun election is held in the area.

Hon. Deekor expressed his optimism last Friday in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt.

Deekor, a former deputy Speaker in the Rivers State House of Assembly, said he is not a green horn, but a parliamentarian who served his constituency and the state purposefully with people – oriented programmes.

According to him, he will resist any amount of intimidation against free and fair rerun election in the area, saying that the people of the Ogoni would not be used to rig any election any more.

On his vision to the people, Deekor said he will effectively project his constituency and the people of the state with policies and programmes that would impact on them positively.

On the alleged printing of fake electoral materials, the former lawmaker accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the electoral malpractices and violence in the state, saying that the incident has vindicated the PDP.

He accused INEC and the Police for allegedly partnering with APC to rig elections in the state, insisting that elections cannot be rigged in the state.

Deekor said Rivers State is wholly PDP for now, and it would very difficult for any person or group to manipulate elections to favour a party that is not popular in the area.
