‘Teachers Pivotal To Rivers Dev’
The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has felicitated with teachers in the state on the occasion of the World Teachers Day (WTD) celebration, assuring them that his administration will always promote their welfare.
The governor stated that teachers are critical to his administration’s restructuring of the education sector as a tool for the empowerment of the people.
A statement by the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, stressed that the current phased rehabilitation of secondary schools across the three senatorial districts of the state was aimed at improving the teaching and learning environment in the state. While congratulating all teachers in Rivers State, Wike lauded them for their strategic contributions to the development.
The governor urged all Rivers people to continue to celebrate teachers for being pivotal to the greatness for which the state is known for.
