RSG Plans Three Major Roads …Moves To Complete Andoni-Opobo Road
The Rivers State Government has hinted of plans to commence construction of 53-kilometre Elele/Omoku Road and Ibaa/Aluu Road.
It also hinted of plans to commence the completion of the Ogoni/Andoni/Opobo Unity Road.
The state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike gave the hint during the 56th independence anniversary celebrations at Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt.
He said the road projects are geared towards improving economic development in the state.
Wike, who used the celebrations to canvass for restructuring the country towards ensuring lasting peace, unity and justice among the federating units, regretted that the nation was being crippled by marginalisation, corruption and injustice.
He sued for cooperation among the three tiers of government in order to address the nation’s developmental challenges.
Here in Rivers State, he submitted that his administration was doing all it can to put the state on the path of growth, and has so far recorded remarkable achievements.
Calling on all stakeholders to join hands with his administration to transform the state, the Rivers State Chief Executive also called on the citizenry to support the Federal Government in building a virile and prosperous nation.
Wike urged Nigerians to use the anniversary to reflect on the nation’s journey in order to promote friendship, peace and coexistence.
