FAAN Managers Strategise To Enhance Revenue
Regional Managers of
the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), have agreed to give support to airport managers across the country toward enhancing business strategies for more revenue.
This is part of their efforts towards evolving strategies that will enable the airports across the country to improve on their revenue generation.
A release from the corporate affairs department of FAAN made available to journalists at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, Tuesday states that the decision of the regional managers was taken in an inaugural meeting of all airport regional managers held in Lagos, recently.
It also states that regional managers of FAAN agreed to adopt a unified inspection template as their inspection status report on weekly basis and general monthly report.
The managers also agreed that regional general managers should intervene in labour realtions/grievances to ensure cordial labour relations.
Those in attendance at the meeting were the South West Regional Manager, Mr Solomon Odugbemi, North Central Regional Manager, Engineer Sanya N.C., North West/East Regional Manager, Mr Zakari Maduda and South South/South East Regional Manager, Dr Anne Egbadon Enyinnaya.
The meeting stressed the need to enhance cordial communal relations with the airport host communities in line with ICAO requirements and regulations.
Airport regional general managers also agreed to hold annual strategy sessions, as well as to oblige meetings with customer care at their various regions.
They, however, suggested that 25 per cent of the revenue allocation from FAAN headquarters be reserved as intervention fund.
